Family Life Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Sothik IT collects, uses, stores, retains, and deletes data for the Family Life Android app and related family.sothik.com services.
Data We Collect
- Account data, such as name, email address, sign-in status, and Sothik account identifiers.
- License and entitlement data needed to confirm whether app features are available to your account or device.
- Family management records you create or upload, including transactions, family profile details, household records, documents, health or medicine records, appointments, and other module data when those modules are used.
- Device and security data, such as app version, platform, device identifiers used for licensing or integrity checks, and authentication/session records.
- Support and operational data, such as messages you send to us, error details, audit logs, and abuse-prevention records.
- Advertising-related identifiers only when advertising features are enabled for the app build and permitted by your device settings.
How We Use Data
- To provide family management features, account access, synchronization, licensing, security, and support.
- To maintain app reliability, prevent abuse, verify access rights, and investigate security or operational issues.
- To respond to user requests, including support, data correction, export, and deletion requests.
- To satisfy legal, accounting, billing, tax, fraud-prevention, and compliance obligations where they apply.
Data Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share data only with service providers needed to operate the app and website, with Sothik platform services used for authentication, licensing, hosting, analytics, messaging, support, payment, or security, or when required by law. Service providers may process data only for the purposes we authorize.
Data Retention
We retain user data only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required for legal, security, tax, audit, backup, or dispute-resolution reasons.
- Account profile, license, and family management data is retained while your account is active or while the data is needed to provide the service.
- Local-only app data stored on your device remains on that device until you delete it in the app, clear app storage, or uninstall the app.
- Server records connected to a verified account deletion request are deleted or de-identified within 30 days, unless retention is required by law or needed for security, fraud prevention, billing, or dispute handling.
- Backups and disaster-recovery copies may retain deleted data for up to 90 days before they age out of backup rotation.
- Security, audit, and abuse-prevention logs are normally retained for up to 12 months.
- Billing, payment, invoice, tax, and legal records may be retained for up to 7 years where required for compliance.
Data Deletion
You can delete data in the following ways:
- Delete individual records from the app or web module where a delete action is available.
- Sign in to the web service and use the profile/account deletion flow to request account deletion.
- Email info@sothik.com from the email address linked to your account and request deletion of your Family Life account or specific data.
- Delete local device data by clearing app storage or uninstalling the app from your Android device.
After we verify your request, account data and associated service records are deleted or de-identified within 30 days, except for limited records we must keep for legal, security, fraud-prevention, billing, tax, backup, or dispute-resolution purposes. Backup copies age out within the backup retention period described above.
Your Choices
- You can update account details through the app or web account screens where available.
- You can control app permissions, notifications, advertising identifiers, and local storage through Android settings.
- You can contact us to request access, correction, export, restriction, or deletion of your data.
Children And Family Data
Family Life is intended for family organization by account holders. If family member or child-related records are added, the account holder is responsible for having the right to enter and manage that data. Contact us if child-related data should be corrected or deleted.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect user data. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so users should protect their account credentials and device access.
Changes To This Policy
We may update this policy when the app, services, legal requirements, or data practices change. The updated version will be posted at this public URL with a revised last-updated date.
